Senior CAE Engineer

About the Opportunity:

Saratech is seeking highly experienced CAE engineers who are experienced with LS-DYNA.  Candidates must have a strong background in dynamic simulation of a high energy event (such as a bird strike). The ability to correlate test data to simulation is a plus.

Salary: $85 / hour, depending on experience

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Recent experience with LS-DYNA software.
  • Ability to create finite element models from 3D CAD geometry.
  • Experience in metallic and composite structures.
  • Experience with bird-strike simulations, composite radomes.
  • Ability to interpret test data (damage, strain, deflections over time) and correlate simulation to test data.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage priorities effectively.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Travel as required for customer visits and meetings.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Technical Point of Contact: Serve as a primary technical point of contact in named accounts to address customer needs, inquiries, and concerns effectively.
  • Deliver projects consistently, on time, and on budget.
  • Must ensure teams follow the correct procedures, policies, and documentation requirements across project phases.
  • Identify resource and equipment requirements, efficient capacity planning and manage software and hardware availability.
  • Provide an efficient working atmosphere for the team and ensure objectives are met within the stipulated time.
  • Make presentations on project status.
